Welcome to the Auld Macdonald Farm Nestled in the Minnesota countryside an hour's drive north of the Twin Cities is the Auld Macdonald Farm. We began this farm in 2005 to fulfill a lifetime dream of working with our own horses. We began with a purebred Arabian yearling sired by Desert Heat VF that we bought at a local auction. Now, we breed, raise, gentle and show both purebred Arabians and Half-Arabians. The bloodlines represented on the farm include Bey Shah, *Bask, Padron Psyche, Legacy of Fame, Sirius Trouble, Khemosabi, Tah Zaman+, Gamaar, Goldmount Royal Design and TF Xtreme. We are the proud owners of Legacys Renoir. This handsome 2002 chestnut stallion stands 15.2 hands, has a classic dishy head with big, expressive eyes, a short back and is a big mover; all classic attributes that any Arabian enthusiast would want to bring to their breeding program. In June, Ian showed Legacys Renoir at the 2008 Region 10 Championships held at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. They took Top 5 and the 2008 Reserve Championship in the Amateur Owner To Handle (AAOTH) class. They also received a very respectable third place ribbon in the Open Stallions 2 Years & Over class and second place ribbon in the Stallions Amateur To Handle class in the Region 10 Pre Show. These results qualify the pair to show at the national level in 2008 and 2009. In February, Legacys Renoir was awarded two Top 10s at the 2008 Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show. First, Legacys Renoir and Ian teamed up in the Arabian Breeding 5 Years & Older Stallions for AAOTH class and on the show's final Saturday morning Jerry Schall showed him in the open class Arabian Breeding 6 & 7 Year Old Stallions! Both classes were very tough, filled with well known horses and experienced, competitive handlers. We are pleased with both third place rankings. Legacys Renoir's other show career highlights include: 2007 Reserve Champion in Region 10 Stallions 2 Years & Over with Jeff Schall, 2005 Top 10 at Canadian Nationals in its Futurity Colts Breeding class and his famous debut in 2003 with Gil Valdez as Scottsdale Champion Yearling Colt and Scottsdale Reserve Champion Colt Arabian Stallion Breeding. Legacys Renoir (Legacy of Fame x SC Psavannah), bred by Pine Crest Arabians [Ron & Judy Schmid], stands at the Auld Macdonald Farm. He is nominated to the Breeder’s Sweepstakes, Iowa Gold Star, and the Minnesota Medallion Stallion and Sport Horse Nationals Payback futurities. Legacys Renoir is SCID clear and EVA tested negative. His first foal crop began arriving May 1, 2008—all fillies! Legacys Renoir's stud fee includes collection and shipping fees for the first shipment delivered anywhere in the contiguous 48 states.
